Lifting off the proof from the fourth and final plate of a test proof for Beginnings & Endings: Boom (note that the digital photo collage pieces are still not there-- those will be applied when print is fully dry.)
The pleasures of printing: the Rorschach test image that blooms before your eyes as you pull the print.
This is what my final stages of color proofing look like-- fine tuning of color. The one on the left side won.
"This one is too bright while this one has too much contrast, oh well, that one is too dark although I like what dark does at the bottom, wait, can we combine..."etc etc. And so it goes until print arrives into the color scheme it needs.
White can be challenging on the copper plate as it tends to darken as it is wiped. The trick is to take it off the surface without too much rubbing.
